A film trip down memory lane
Date published: 17 July 2008
BUDDING directors at Freehold Community School launched an animated film based on their neighbourhood’s history.
Year 6 pupils interviewed local people and dug around local archives to learn about their heritage, the changes affecting Freehold and their hopes for the future.
The film, on DVD, entitled “Memory Lane” was premiered at the school. Youngsters worked in collaboration with English Heritage, community links and artists from Zoom Animation.
Pictured are, from left, Sadia Farooq, Sahair Niaz, Patrick Burke (English Heritage), Elaine Shaw (former teacher) and Farhan Nawaz.
