PARENTS’ hard work fundraising paid off once again at Crompton Primary School on the night that pupils enjoyed feeling like stars in an “Oscar” ceremony.
The Shaw school’s Parent Support Group (PSG) handed over a cheque to head teacher Martin Moore for £12,000, collected from various events throughout the year.
The presentation was made on the same night that the group organised an end of year awards ceremony where formally-dressed Year 6 children were treated like film stars. They were collected from their houses by limousine, treated to a tour of the local area and walked the famous red carpet on arrival at the school, while being photographed by the paparazzi — otherwise known as family and friends.
Head teacher Martin Moore said: “IThe PSG works really hard throughout the year and the events they organise are always great fun.”
Handing over the money to head teacher Martin Moore, right, is Susan Cullen and Delwyn Hague.
