THE borough’s over 60s proved they’ve got the X Factor at a talent contest held at the Oldham Coliseum.
The Silver Stars talent contest, organised by Age Concern Oldham, saw a line up of 14 singers hit the big stage.
Each act was judged on presentation, entertainment, originality and personality.
Retired teacher Patricia Eyres (61), of Austerlands, was crowned winner of the annual contest, judged by a panel of judges including Kevin Shaw, the Coliseum;s artistic director.
Maggie Hurley, community and volunteer co-ordinator for Age Concern, said: “It was a really good afternoon. There were so many talented people on the stage for one afternoon. All of them were absolutely fantastic.”
Mrs Eyres was presented with a crystal bowl, certificate and a medal, while the other contestants also received a medal.
