Head-on collision forces A62 closure
Date published: 22 July 2008
THE A635 Greenfield to Holmfirth road was closed for several hours after a head-on crash last night.
The accident, which involved two vehicles, happened about two miles from Greenfield and police and ambulance services attended. The occupants of both vehicles were taken to hospital with injuries.
The road, which has been subject to a massive improvement scheme by Oldham Council, was recently the scene of more than a dozen accidents within less than two months.
Residents complained that blocked drains and the road’s camber had been part of the problems.
