Bat count before demolition
Date published: 25 July 2008
A BAT survey will be carried out in Alt before old people’s bungalows and vandalised flats are demolished.
The properties on Cherry Avenue are due to come down very soon, but the survey has to be carried out first, because bats are protected species under the Wildlife and Countryside Act.
The £2,400 contract will be carried out by Landscape Planning Ltd.
If bats are found, they will be moved with the help of the Greater Manchester Ecology Unit.
