Surgery staff in gun-raid ordeal
Date published: 25 July 2008
A WOMAN had to be treated for shock after raiders pointed a gun in her face.
Staff were closing the out-of-hours Go-to-Doc surgery in Yates Street, Higginshaw, at about 4.15am today when two men entered. One of them smashed the glass screen that the victim was standing behind and pointed a gun at her before demanding drugs and money. After not getting either, they grabbed the victim’s empty purse and ran off towards Shaw Road. Both men were described as wearing gloves and having Irish accents.
Anyone with information should phone the police on 0161-872 5050 or the Crimestoppers charity on 0800-555 111.
