The mental health needs of Oldham’s minority communities, including Pakistani, Indian, Bangladeshi, Polish and and Ukrainians, has been discussed at the launch of a new project.
Oldham Primary Care Trust’s health improvement service launched the community engagement project at the Oldham Muslim Centre in Neville Street, Chadderton.
It focused on elderly community members and a community-led research project looking at their experiences and perceptions of mental health issues in Oldham, and if their needs are being met.
