Take a walk for charity
Date published: 29 July 2008
ONE of Oldham’s most popular walks will take place on August 1 and 2. The trek covers 40 miles and takes in most of the Oldham Way.
Hikers can either walk the full distance or join a ranger for a guided walk along a shorter stretch.
It starts and finishes at Daisy Nook Country Park with Castleshaw Centre, Delph, on both days.
The organisers, Oldham Council’s outdoor and environmental education service, say the walk is a rewarding event for the summer.
And it provides, they say, an excellent opportunity to raise money for charity.
