COLOURFUL creations and stunning displays impressed the judges at this year’s Saddleworth in Bloom competition.
Residents from across the area showed off their hard work in six categories.
Best Medium garden was won by Thomas Adamson and best Large Garden went to Norman and Freda Jolley.
Sheila Cronley, from Greenfield, won the best Community Garden and The Woolpack Pub in Dobcross scooped Best Blooming Pub.
Winning the best Container Garden was Richard Dawes from Springhead, while Edward Butterworth from Greenfield took the best Small Garden.
Among the judges was gardening expert Tom Leigh, councillor Pat Lord, chairman of Saddleworth Parish Council, and members of the special projects sub-committee.
Councillor Lord said: “The standard of this year’s entries was excellent and there was a lot of effort put into creating the gardens and displays.
“Everything looked really colourful this year and we are looking for more pubs and gardens to enter next year.
A presentation evening will be held in September when the winners will receive their trophies and certificates.
