Charity supporter and “Emmerdale” star Kelvin Fletcher is joined by Latics mascot Chaddy the Owl and Oldham Rugby League mascot, Roary the Roughyed
TV SOAP star Kelvin Fletcher temporarily left the Yorkshire Dales behind to spice up a family fun day at Manor Park, home of Oldham Rugby Union club.
Kelvin, who plays tearaway Andy Sugden in ITV’s “Emmerdale”, dropped in to lend his support to a Park Cake sports and family fun day, which raised money for a host of local charities.
The former Thorp Primary and North Chadderton school pupil gave his celebrity seal of approval to the event, which saw scores of Park Cake staff and locals enjoy a series of fun-packed activities.
Youngsters got down and dirty in a series of gruelling bush tucker trials, while circus act the Fiasco’s kept the crowds entertained throughout the day.
And Latics mascot Chaddy the Owl also made an appearance alongside Oldham Rugby League mascot, Roary the Roughyed, as families competed in energetic sporting activities and tried their luck on the many tombolas.
The day ended with a special “Park Cake has Got Talent” event, which saw staff show off their skills in a spectacular talent show.
