Sexual health boost
Date published: 12 August 2008
TWO health services have been set up to make it easier for the public to access confidential sexual health support and advice.
A one-stop sexual health clinic has been started at Glodwick Primary Care Centre, but anyone in Oldham can attend.
The clinic, which is run by nurses from Oldham Community Health Services (part of Oldham Primary Care Trust), offers a drop-in service on Fridays between 10am and 12.30pm.
Vicky Garvey, sexual health nurse, said: “People can come for a range of advice. They can also have screening for sexually-transmitted infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhoea, and syphilis.”
A new booking system has also been set up for abortion services. The number to call is 0845 365 0565.
