DESPITE gale-force winds that blew away show and exhibition tents, the Saddleworth Summer Show, held in June, was a great success, attracting 4,000 visitors and raising a great deal of money for charity.
It was organised jointly by Saddleworth Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Oldham Metro with the Oldham Evening Chronicle as the main sponsor through a special show supplement published by the newspaper.
