A NEW governing body has been set up for two Oldham schools which have joined together.
It means Mills Hill in Chadderton and Medlock Valley in Fitton Hill will work together with one governing body and one head teacher.
They will maintain their individual names, school inspections and budgets but work in partnership.
Darran Lee, head teacher at Mills Hill Primary School will become the head of both schools.
There will be 20 governors: four parent governors from Mills Hill and three from Medlock Valley; four staff including the head teacher; four from Oldham Council and five from the community.
