AN ambitious air cadet has been awarded a BTEC certificate in public services.
Equivalent to four GCSE passes, Christopher Hall (16) earned the accolade by studying a range of subjects such as uniformed services and the NHS.
The ATC nationally offers its cadets the chance to gain BTEC awards, not only in public services, but also in aviation and music. Christopher is one of the first from Oldham squadron to pass the exams.
He said: “This is a useful qualification to have, particularly as it is the equivalent of four GCSE passes. I have enjoyed studying the subjects involved as they have been so varied.”
Chris attends Oldham Sixth-Form College where he is studying A-levels in maths, physics and geography. He hopes to become a commercial pilot.
