Pub thug wanted by police

A MAN was left with serious head injuries after an assault at a pub in Shaw.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch after the incident at the Bluebell Pub, Market Street, at around 11.25pm on Friday.
The 35-year-old victim was taken to hospital and initially placed in intensive care but has since been moved. His condition is now described as stable.
The offender is described as white, about 6ft tall, of stocky build with black spiky hair and wore a black shirt.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault but was released without charge.
Detective Constable Yvonne Bell, of Oldham CID, said: “This man was left seriously injured and we need to find the person responsible.
“We believe there were a number of people who witnessed the incident and while we have spoken to some, there are still witnesses outstanding.
“If you saw anything or have any information about the offender, please get in touch.”
