Eyes up for bingo players’ high stake

TEAM members from Mecca Bingo in Oldham will face a tough challenge next week when they trek up Mt Snowdon in Wales in aid of charity.
Sarah Vaughn, Emma Foster and Carol Fenton will join fellow team members from Mecca Bingo clubs around the area to undertake the two-day trek up the mountain, part of a series of fund-raising events this year on behalf of Whizz-Kidz.
Carol said: “We’ve all got our fingers crossed for good weather conditions and everyone is feeling very enthusiastic and has been training hard.
“Our friends, family and club members have all been very generous with their donations but I’d like to urge anyone who hasn’t donated yet to dig deep and show their support.”
Whizz-Kidz is the national children’s mobility charity committed to giving disabled children the independence they deserve — at home, at play and at school.
The challenge takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
