Hunt for witness to attack

A MAN who suffered serious head injuries after being assaulted in a Shaw pub has made a rapid recovery.
The 35-year-old was initially placed in intensive care after the attack on Friday night, but his condition quickly improved and he has now been discharged from hospital.
Police have appealed for witnesses, or anyone with information, about the incident at The Bluebell pub, in Market Street, to contact them on 0161 856 8951 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
The offender is described as white, about 6ft tall, of stocky build with black spiky hair and wore a black shirt.
A 23-year-old man was originally arrested but he has been released without charge.
