Banding together in a good cause

THE Dog and Partridge is staging a huge fundraising event filled with barbecues, stalls and local bands on Sunday.
Oldham’s own Andy Lee and Graham Wheeler will be the first act on stage to entertain audiences at the Music 4 Life event.
Andy has scooped many awards in his career, including being voted Best Harmony, Best Act and Best Vocalist, both regionally and nationally.
Graham was also nationally recognised for his talents as he got through to “X-Factor Boot Camp” this year.
Graham was in the last 50 of 200,000 who entered the contest, before personal commitments took centre stage and he had to resign from the contest.
Also appearing at the event will be popular Oldham entertainer “Morgan”, a showcase of singers and dancers, not forgetting the North-West’s top Elvis impersonator!
In between the bands will be auctions of prizes and surprises generously donated by North-West companies.
There will be tombolas and stalls at the pub on Constantine Street, Oldham.
The concert, which hopes to raise funds for children’s cancer charity KIDSCAN, and Cystic Fibrosis Trust, runs from 1-10.30pm.
