Two heads are better than one
HELPING each other with revision was the key to GCSE success for two St Augustine’s sisters.
Identical twins Jodie and Jade Lennon (16) both gained impressive results at the Werneth school. Jodie scooped 10 passes and Jade 11.
Jade said: “We helped each other with the studying and I am very happy.
Jodie added: “I am pleased as well because we did help each other along.”
Jodie will now go to Oldham College and Jade to Oldham Sixth Form College.
Head teacher Mike McGhee said: “We are pleased with the overall improvement on last year’s results. Our students did very well and we are proud of each and every one of them.”

Taofik makes the grade
Breeze Hill head boy Taofik Adigun was walking on air after opening his GCSE results.
Taofik, of Clarksfield, gained 14 A-C grades, including an A* in business, As in maths and English and 2As in science. Impressive in anyone’s book — but it was even more remarkable given the fact that Taofik only arrived in this country from Nigeria four years ago.
He said: “I am very pleased. I have enjoyed my time at Breeze Hill and met some good people.” Taofik will study accountancy, business studies, maths and computer studies at Oldham Sixth Form College.
