A LITTLE green wizard shows off his 10ft sunflowers which he planted following a visit to a local garden centre.
Four-year-old Jake Beecroft went to the Royton Garden Centre on Turf Lane with his dad where he picked a packet of sunflower seeds back in February.
He was so fascinated by the picture of the sunflowers on the packet that he persuaded his father to buy it. When he went home to his house at The Fold, Heyside, he planted them and has been watching their progress ever since.
Dad, Mike, said: “The sunflowers are so tall even the neighbours can see them. Jake gets a better view from his bedroom window and he thinks they are great.”
