Asda cash for Shaw

Shaw centre will be improved with money given to Oldham Council by the developers of the new Asda store.
The development on the Dawn Mill site was agreed providing Oldham Council was paid £200,000 for Shaw district centre improvements, and £112,000 for highways works. Called section 106 money, £40,000 of it will be used to improve Horton Square, Milne Street, and Barclays Passage, while almost £47,000 will be used for traffic and direction signs to smooth the flow of pedestrians and cars.
