THESE were the violent scenes after a brawl left a town centre reveller seriously injured with a fractured skull.

At least 15 men were involved in the fight outside the Cuba Cuba bar in Yorkshire Street at about 12.20am on July 20. Several passers-by also become caught up in the fight. A 26-year-old man had his skull fractured in two places and also suffered numerous breaks to his jaw and other facial fractures.

Police officers conducted a CCTV trawl of the area and found footage of the incident which shows a man being kicked on the ground. They hope to trace some of the offenders who are clearly pictured.

Detective Constable Natalie Brennan, from Oldham CID, said: “These people have just launched into a violent attack, and a man has been left with serious injuries as a result.

“This sort of thuggish behaviour is simply unacceptable and we are keen to trace everyone involved. If you recognise anyone, or have any information about this incident, please get in touch.”
