Detective charged

AN Oldham detective faces trial after being charged with data protection offences.
Det Sgt Alan Walker (44) was yesterday charged with 12 offences under the Data Protection Act. He will appear before Trafford magistrates on Tuesday next week.
The detective and his wife Paula were arrested in January. But in June, police said no further action would be taken against Mrs Walker (38).
