Six in car smash drama

SIX people were taken to hospital after a car smash in Coppice last night.
Firefighters had to cut two people free from their vehicle after the collision between two cars in Werneth Hall Road at 9.40pm.
One car was shunted into a stone wall after the vehicles collided at a junction.
A family of four were in a Renault Laguna with a mum and her 11-year-old daughter cut free and placed on spinal boards after suffering suspected spinal injuries.
The father and son were treated for shock and accompanied them to Bury’s Fairfield Hospital.
Two women in a Toyota were also treated for shock and taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital.
