DREAM designs . . . Karlie has reached the final of the North-West Young Designer of the Year competition

A SPRINGHEAD fashion guru has reached the final of the North-West Young Designer of the Year.

Karlie Symone beat off competition from hundreds of rival hopefuls to make it past the qualifying stages to the final 10. The journey started in June when scores of budding designers entered their work for judges to assess. The final will be held at Manchester’s Triangle shopping centre on Thursday, September 18, when Karlie’s work will be judged by fashion experts and celebrities.

Karlie (23) said: “To win this competition will certainly put my name on the fashion radar. Hopefully everyone from Oldham will support me on the day.”
