OLDHAM residents are invited to the Christie Hospital’s annual members meeting at Manchester Town Hall at 2pm on Tuesday.
The event will include a review of Christie’s first year as a foundation trust and there will be presentations from a cancer specialist at the hospital.
Over the past 12 months, the hospital has exceeded all targets and has given the go-ahead for major new plans including two new £17 million radiotherapy centres, including one at the Royal Oldham, and a £35 million patient treatment centre in Withington.
Caroline Shaw, chief executive, said: “This meeting will be a great opportunity for people to find out more about our services and how we intend to transform them for the benefit of all our patients.”
