King of the jungle Christopher Biggins is preparing to promote his autobiography later this month.
Oldham-born Biggins (59) — a regular panto dame — left school with no qualifications but his career blossomed when he appeared in “Porridge” and “Poldark”.
“Just Biggins” is all about his working-class upbringing before he had elocution lessons and moved to Salisbury.
Fans recently saw him win reality TV show “I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here!” set in the Australian jungle.
He said: “I’ve had an incredible, charmed life, and been to places very few Oldham boys ever see. Not all my career decisions have been right but I’ve never stopped having fun.”
The event takes place at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester on September 30.
