Kitten Angel
THE reward to find the killers of little kitten Angel has swelled to over £900.
Over the weekend four more Oldhamers have offered money to help find the sick yobs who kicked Angel senseless in Coldhurst then lashed her with a metal bike chain.
Angel died last week despite efforts by vets at County End Surgery in Lees.
Last week three Oldham people offered £650 if Angel’s killers, said to be two teenagers aged 13 and 15, were caught and prosecuted.
Over the weekend an anonymous animal lover from Royton pledged £100 to find the culprits.
She said: “I just felt sick when I read about it. I can’t understand how someone could do something like that, it’s so horrible. They need to catch them and teach them a lesson.
“I’m a cat lover myself and not so long ago I lost my cat when it was run over on the road.”
An animal lover from Waterhead also put forward £100.
The attack has brought back bad memories for the pet owner, who has worked for animal charities, as he knows of another kitten that was brutally kicked by yobs.
Another anonymous pledge of £50 came from a Lees man, and Steve Donohue, of Delph also pledged £20, bringing the total to £920.
