Ashton man on drugs rap

AN Ashton man was one of two suspected drug smugglers arrested at Newcastle Airport after customs officers seized cocaine with a street value of £150,000.
Prince Tims Odunze (31), of Miller Street, Ashton, arrived at Newcastle Airport on September 11, having travelled from Cameroon via Paris. He appeared before Newcastle magistrates on September 13.
Odunze was charged with conspiracy to smuggle drugs and was remanded in custody.
His co-accused, Chinaemerem Igboanusi (25), of Newcastle, is charged with attempting to smuggle the Class A drug into Britain.
Customs officers searched baggage and discovered 2kg of cocaine concealed in the lining of a suitcase.
