Alexandra Area Committee report
A POLICE chief has warned that mini-motos will be confiscated and crushed in a bid to keep the streets safe.
Responding to complaints from local residents, Sgt Paul Vickers said: “We are doing all we can to seize these vehicles and get them crushed.”
Other locals also expressed concerns about anti-social behaviour.
One said: “I live on Hurstwood Close. We often get groups of more than 20 youths congregating on a wall near my home. Whether they are just having fun or not, that kind of presence is intimidating, yet you don’t see the police anywhere. We need a proper police presence. Trying to get hold of a community support officer is difficult.”
