Crashes build up wall repairs
Date published: 25 September 2008
FIVE Saddleworth roadside retaining walls damaged by car crashes will cost £26,500 to repair.
They are at Well-i-hole Road and Manchester Road in Greenfield; Delph road, Denshaw; Oaklands Road, Grasscroft; and Huddersfield Road, Austerlands.
Most of the walls retain the roads by 2ft or more and the damage is getting progressively worse.
