RAF celebration dinner

Attending the RAF birthday event were (from left) deputy mayor Councillor Jim McArdle, fundraiser Agnes Buckley, deputy mayoress Councillor Kay Knox, Elizabeth Notere, Oldham RAFA president Jack Taylor, Rick Notere, vice-chairman of the Northern Area council, Oldham RAFA chairman Norman Brook and Shirley Brook.
MORE than 60 people attended a dinner to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Royal Air Force.
The event at Shaw Road Conservative Club was organised by the Oldham Royal Air Force Association (RAFA) and guests included the deputy mayor and mayoress, councillors Jim McArdle and Kay Knox.
Oldham is the only remaining RAFA branch in North Manchester and members recently visited the Eden Camp Second World War museum in Malton, North Yorkshire.
