Craig Burgess: teaching tomorrow's music professionals
A CHADDERTON man has landed a job honing talented youngsters into superstars.
Craig Burgess, a former music technology lecturer at University Centre Oldham, now works at Futureworks in Manchester as a music production tutor.
Futureworks is a state-of-the-art facility offering training in audio, film, TV, digital arts and games.
With the creative, digital and new media sector now accounting for 1.8 million jobs in the UK, the desire to work in these industries has created demand for a more comprehensive grounding.
Craig (26) will be teaching music production to degree and postgraduate students, specialising in recording techniques.
He said: “I am very happy to be working at Futureworks and training and developing the next generation of music producers.”
