Curtains store closes
Date published: 06 October 2008
Rosebys homeware and curtains shop in Yorkshire Street, Oldham, has closed since the group went into administration at the weekend.
Ten stores and 92 jobs have been axe. The chain has yet to find a buyer but joint administrator KPMG said it had received 45 expressions of interest.
The shop closures have created 60 job losses and a further 32 redundancies have been made at Rosebys head office and merchandising department in Rotherham.
Howard Smith, for KPMG, said: “Closing some of the poorer, performing outlets has been unavoidable to ensure trading remains profitable.”
