A NEW recruitment service for people with disabilities and health conditions has opened in Oldham, marking a significant expansion in the region by Remploy.
The new branch, in Union Street, provides a range of specialist recruitment and development services for job-seekers wanting to return to work or get a job for the first time.
It is the second to open in the area — Remploy already runs a successful branch in Manchester city centre.
Acting manager Marie Murray-Henderson, who leads a team of five, said: “Opening this branch means our candidates and partners can see Remploy’s services being delivered in the way they should be, in a dedicated, accessible space with up-to-date facilities and IT equipment.”
She added: “We are forging partnerships with major employers who will benefit from faster access to a pool of motivated, job-ready candidates and expert help and advice on disability issues.”
Remploy last year found 6,600 jobs with mainstream employers for people with disabilities and health conditions.
Job-seekers and employers can contact the branch at 19-25 Union Street, Oldham, OL1 1BT, or on 0300 456 8046.
