Pitch plans wait for kick-off
Date published: 08 October 2008
Twelve new sports pitches will be created in Fitton Hill if plans are approved for the New Deal for Communities sports zone.
NDC officers have been given permission to apply for planning permission for two full-size football pitches and 10 multi-use games area pitches.
They will be at the Centre for Professional Development, the former Fitton Hill secondary school, in Rosary Road, and will also have changing rooms, car parking, new pavements and site entrance, fencing and floodlights.
The old school gymnasium will be knocked down to make way for the new pitches.
