Three armed men raid Co-op

MONEY was stolen from the Co-op, Uppermill, during an armed robbery on Tuesday night.
Police were called to the High Street shop at 10pm after three men, one carrying a screwdriver, burst in.
One of the offenders jumped over the counter, pulled out the screwdriver and demanded money from the till.
They also attempted to steal cigarettes but dropped them as they left the shop.
No one was hurt during the incident.
The offenders are described as white, and 18 to 24. One of them was around 6ft and slim.
The second offender was around 5ft 5ins and of medium build, and the third offender was about 5ft 10in and slim.
