RORY RUSSELL
GUITAR supremo Rory Russell will use his expertise to coach budding musicians in Oldham on Sunday.
And at the end of the day they will perform three specially arranged ensemble pieces they have learned at a concert.
Rory, who has a reputation as an outstanding performer and teacher, will host a workshop and master class at St Anne’s School, Lydgate, for students between the ages of seven and 76 who are working towards music exams on both banjo and guitar.
Rory started playing classical guitar at the age of eight, and recently graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music after four years of studying.
He has collected a raft of national awards, travelled Europe to attend masterclasses, and four years ago represented Britain in the European Youth Guitar Ensemble.
He is now a chamber musician.
