2 hurt in bus attack

TWO people were hurt in Delph last night when a thug tried to rob a bus driver and hurled racist abuse at him.
The passers-by suffered minor injuries when they tackled the man who had thrown a drink at the 38-year-old Zimbabwean driver, made racist comments and tried to grab his cash bag.
The incident on the 350 First service happened outside the Swan Inn in the village centre at 11.15pm after five men had had an argument with the driver over fares.
A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of robbery and assault.
