New plea for Co-op raid help

POLICE have renewed their appeal for information about a robbery at the Co-op, Uppermill, last week.
And they have issued a fuller description of three offenders who entered the store brandishing screwdrivers and demanding money in the incident at 10pm on Tuesday, October 14.
The raiders stole money from the till and cigarettes. During the robbery passers-by saw what was happening and tried to block the shop door, but the offenders managed to push by and ran off.
They then got into a car parked in adjoining Court Street and drove off.
At around the same time, an 07 registered black car was seen speeding towards Delph. Officers want to hear from anyone who saw the car.
All three offenders are described as white, and aged between 18 and 24.
The first was about 6ft, wore a white balaclava and carried a yellow handled screwdriver.
The second was about 5ft 5in, with a medium or athletic build, wore a black tracksuit and black balaclava and carried a 6in chisel.
The final offender was about 5ft 11in, of slim build and wearing a blue tracksuit.
