RENOWNED guitarist Rory Russell hosted a workshop and masterclass in Lydgate.

He passed on some of his expertise to fledgling musicians intent on improving their mastery of the guitar and the banjo. He set his pupils a tough test of learning three specially arranged ensemble pieces which they performed at the end of the day in a concert for friends and family.Rory, who has a reputation as an outstanding performer and teacher, worked with students ranging from seven to 76 in the workshop. They are all studying for music exams.
