Assault man dies in hospital

A MAN who was left fighting for his life after he was seriously assaulted in Fitton Hill at the weekend has died.
The 26-year-old, who has not been identified, was admitted to hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning after the attack on South Croft.
He suffered a serious injury in the incident and was placed on life support.
However, he died yesterday afternoon.
Ryan Hobin (20) of Glebe Street, Chadderton, was charged in connection with the assault and was due to appear before Oldham magistrates.
