CADETS (from the left) Luke Greenwood, Teri Wild, Alexander Richards, Shannon Davenport and Jordon Crowther have all achieved sporting success.
HIGH-FLYING Oldham cadets from 2200 (Oldham) Squadron Air Training Corps have earned the right to wear the coveted “Wing Blue” on their uniforms.
Jordon Crowther (15), Luke Greenwood (14) and Alexander Richards (15) were selected to represent the East Lancashire Wing of the ATC at football.
Alexander was also selected to represent the North Region ATC team.
And the female members of the squadron were determined not to be left out as two girls, Shannon Davenport (13) and Teri Wild (15), were selected to represent the Wing at hockey.
Luke said: “It is always an honour to represent the Wing and it was not easy getting through the trials.”
The squadron commander, Flight Lieutenant Mike Holroyd, said: “These cadets have excelled themselves, especially Shannon as she has only been in the squadron for a short time.”
Cadets from the Squadron have already attained representative honours this year, having represented East Lancashire Wing and North Region at rugby and athletics.
