Bakery to rake in the dough

A DASH of colour . . . Grace Robinson has been busy making pink cakes
A WARM-HEARTED bakery was tickled pink at the success of a fund-raising drive for breast cancer.
Robinson’s Bakery, in Ashton Road East, Failsworth, sold 2,000 pink fairy cakes for the Breast Cancer Care charity. But the pink theme did not end there.
Staff donned pink outfits and the shop was decked out with pink balloons.
The event was organised by bakery owner Grace Robinson, who took part in Oldham’s Race for Life earlier this year.
Husband David said: “We have a family member who has battled cancer and customers who have faced the same.
“Hopefully, the event will raise plenty of cash for a worthwhile organisation”.
The Robinsons hope to raise more than £1,000.
Wear It Pink Day is on Friday.
