Terror trial
Date published: 29 October 2008
THE trial of an Oldham couple accused of publishing a pamphlet encouraging terrorism has been adjourned until next year.
Amjad Mahmood (29), and his wife Shella Roma (28), of Chester Street, Werneth, deny circulating a document telling others to go abroad to fight a jihad or holy war.
The couple, who have a baby, face a joint charge of dissemination of terrorist publications. The trial is now scheduled to take place at Manchester Crown Court in either January or February.
