KIND-HEARTED Chronicle readers are rallying round to make sure an Uppermill man’s walk of a lifetime is a major money-spinner for charity.
Already £4,500 has been pledged in support of consultant accountant David Harthan who will trek up the daunting slopes of Everest to raise money for a charity which supports disadvantaged children in Nepal.
Mr Harthan (61), who is paying all the expenses for his trip, leaves on November 8. Last-minute pledges of support should be made by contacting www.justgiving.com/david harthan or by calling him on 01457-875 383.
