Death riddle investigation at flats
Date published: 04 November 2008
Police are today probing the death of a 30-year-old man in a Failsworth flat.
The body was found in Oldham Road, near Failsworth Pole, around 1.20pm yesterday.
It is believed he was found by his landlord, and other residents were evacuated as police set up a crime scene.
A post mortem examination was carried out and the results passed to detectives today.
Scientists are probing whether the man, who was well known in the area, may have died accidentally and are examining his medical history.
The area was still taped off this morning and crime scene investigators were still at work.
A police statement was expected later today.
