Foreign exchange website
Date published: 06 November 2008
LANGUAGE students can find out more about studying abroad — thanks to Oldham Sixth Form College.
That’s because the college has set up what is believed to be the country’s first modern foreign language exchange website.
Each year, the majority of the college’s language students take part in at least one exchange visit to partner institutions in the French town of Le Mans, German capital Berlin and Torrelavega in Spain.
The new site, launched tomorrow, will include a link to partner colleges and the experiences of students who have taken part in exchanges.
The next college exchange is to Le Mans on Saturday. An on-line diary — known as a blog — is being set up to allow students to keep in touch between visits.
