ON tour... the children’s choir Destiny Africa which performed at St Thomas’s Church, Delph
THEY came out of Africa to say thank-you. And church members in Delph were high on the list of benefactors.
The Destiny Africa Children’s Choir is currently on its first tour of the UK. It is saying thank-you to organisations who helped rescue them from desperate circumstances in their homeland of Uganda.
Last year, St Thomas’s Church raised nearly £30,000 to build a kindergarten in Kampala. Two years earlier, they raised money for a new children’s home.
The choir gave a concert at St Thomas’s on Thursday, featuring a mixture of contemporary and traditional African songs.
