POLICE are becoming concerned for the welfare of a missing woman.

Kaleda Akter (22) left her home in Cartmel Crescent, Chadderton, yesterday to attend a training course. She was last seen in Hollinwood area around 9.15am.

She has never gone missing before and police and her family are very worried.

Det Insp Chris Bridge said: “We are very concerned about Kaleda.

“She did not attend her training course yesterday — something which is extremely out of character for her.

“If anyone has seen her, or has any information about her, please get in touch. If Kaleda is reading this, please contact the police or your family to let us know you are safe.”

Kaleda is described as Asian, slim, 5ft 3ins, with long dark hair. She was wearing a three-quarter length black woollen coat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Oldham CID on 0161-856 8951.
